लक्ष्मण बळवंत भोपटकर यांनी १९२७ साली लिहिलेले 'दांडपट्टा' हे पुस्तक महाराष्ट्राच्या पारंपरिक युद्धकलेच्या अभ्यासासाठी एक मूलभूत आणि शाश्वत संदर्भग्रंथ आहे. या पुस्तकामध्ये महाराष्ट्राच्या युद्धकलेत प्रामुख्याने वापरल्या जाणाऱ्या 'पट्टा' तसेच इतर शस्त्रे चालविण्याच्या पद्धती, पवित्रे, वार आणि चाली यांची तांत्रिक माहिती समाविष्ट आहे. शस्त्रविद्या आणि युद्धकला विषयाचे अधिक सखोल आकलन व्हावे यासाठी मूळ लेखनास नव्या माहितीपर प्रकरणांची, आकृत्यांची, रेखाचित्रांची आणि चित्रध्वनिफितींसाठीच्या क्यूआर कोड्सची जोड देऊन हा दुर्मीळ संदर्भग्रंथ एक शतकानंतर पुन्हा अभ्यासक आणि वाचकांसमोर आणला आहे.

Written by Lakshman Balwant Bhopatkar in 1927, the book ‘Dandapatta' is a foundational and enduring reference work for the study of Maharashtra's traditional martial arts. It includes technical information on the wielding methods, stances, strikes and manoeuvres of the 'Patta' and other weapons traditionally used in Maharashtrian martial arts. To offer a deeper understanding of weapons and martial traditions, this rare reference work has been republished after a century, newly enriched with informative chapters, diagrams, illustrations and QR codes linking to audiovisual material.
