Nick’s Deathly Wishes

In spite of all the favours of fortune, Nick is poor.
Why so, because of his attitude! Unsatisfied and jealous!
He was a mean, fellow who couldn’t bear
to see other people’s prosperity.
His own gardens were full of juicy, red apples,
but as soon as Nick saw bunches of grapes
in his neighbour’s plot, his mood turned sour!
