"The Landry News" is another novel by Andrew Clements. Like many of Clements' works, this book is targeted at middle-grade readers and often finds its way into school curricula.

The story revolves around a fifth-grade student named Cara Landry. Cara decides to start her own class newspaper, "The Landry News," as a way to express her feelings about the problems in her classroom. She writes an editorial criticizing her teacher, Mrs. Mallory, for not doing her job effectively. The newspaper causes quite a stir in the school and in the community.
